Taos Ski ValleyMore snow than Aspen (3.12"), more vertical drop than Breckenridge (2,612'), more sun than Sun Valley (88%), and more skiiable acres than Telluride (1,294 acres). Taos Ski Valley was built in 1952, owned and operated by the Bolander family and has welcomed skiiers from all over the world. The family continues to add ski trails, staying with the demand to expand. The resort has a ski school that offers lessons in snowboarding and skiing.

Millicent Rogers MuseumA stunning beauty and talented designer, Millicent Rogers was a passionate collector of Native American silver and turquoise jewelry and Navajo and Rio Grande weavings. Added to that, the Museum also has a collection of religious and domestic arts, pottery paintings, photography and graphics.
Martinez HaciendaMartinez built this house in 1804. A fortress-like building with massive adobe walls became an important trade center for the northern boundary of the Spanish Empire. Today, the Hacienda's 21 rooms provide the visitor with a rare glimpse of the rugged frontier life and times of the early 1800s.
Kit Carson Home and MuseumKit Carson arrived in Taos in 1826. He had run away from an apprenticeship in Missouri to join a wagon train heading west on the Santa Fe Trail. He spoke many languages, thus Kit became a translator for a wagon train to Chihuahua. He was also called Mountain Man and became an indian agent. The museum contains a small portion of Carson's original homr. Artifacts and exhibits illustrat his family and frontier life in Taos. The museum also exhibits the importance of the Native American and Hispanic cultures in the history of northern New Mexico.
