Historic Hotel Chester (rated Starkville's best hotel for two years running) is the only full-service hotel in the city. Your stay includes a full, cooked-to-order a la carte breakfast each morning, served in a setting of venerable charm. Hours are 6:30am to 9:30am M - F and 7:00am to 10:00am Sat, Sun & Holidays. Individually listed on the Nation Register of Historic Places and located in the Old Main District of historic downtown, where shops, restaurants and entertainment spots are abundant & within 2 blocks walking distance. Reopened in August 2003 after extensive renovations structural and cosmetic renovations of the public areas and all 36 rooms and suites. The original name given the property in 1925 was Hotel Chester, and today its mission is the same...to provide a well-rounded line of hospitality products with culinary and service standards commensurate with current market conditions and expeactations.

Big Daddy's Restaurant and Bar is a great place to see and be seen with an open and comfortable floor plan that encourages a casual atmosphere to enjoy a varietal menu designed to satisfy every appetite. There's games, cool jazz or blues tunes in the air, and friendly, Southern service. Open Monday to Saturday from 4pm. There are banquet facilities for Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Reunions, Business Meetings and Meals, and Parites of every imaginable type.
